Course Learning Outcomes

The CCNY FIQWS class is meant to teach writing as a collaborative process of invention, drafting, and revising. Here listed are the following learning outcomes that I have attempted and accomplished during the semester

  • Explore and analyze, in writing and reading, a variety of genres and rhetorical situations.
  • Develop strategies for reading, drafting, collaborating, revising, and editing.
  • Recognize and practice rhetorical terms and strategies when writing.
  • Engage in collaborative and social aspects of writing.
  • Understand the use of print and digital technologies
  • Locate and evaluate different research sources within the library’s database, archives, and the internet.
  • Compose texts that combines a stance with proper sources while using summarization, critical analysis, interpretation, synthesis, and argumentation,
  • Practice citation.
